Share the Hope, Experience the Gospel Share the Hope is a benefit concert ministry designed to work in relationship with the local church or sponsor to reach out to your local community for Jesus sake. Partnering with the local church or sponsor and in the spirit of 1 Peter 4:7-11, we hope to build relationships within the church and within the local community. Through the example of God’s love, in service to the people around us, we work to help the local church or sponsor benefit a physical need in the community, while helping to create an event that allows us to Share the Hope of Jesus, individually and corporately by serving that community, not for our own sake, but for Jesus sake. 1 Peter 4:7-11 7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen Our hope and purpose in partnering with the local church/sponsor is in essence three fold:
In short, our purpose is to help prepare and execute a benefit EVENT through professional Christian music ministries and the church, which will meet a physical and spiritual need in the local community. By seeking to serve others for Jesus sake, with God’s word as our guide (Specifically 1 Peter 4:7-11), we experience the Gospel in action as we minister to others and are encouraged by one another. Who: Churches, ministries and individuals who are interested in reaching out and serving a genuine need in their local communities. What: A Benefit concert EVENT that will help to meet a physical need in the community while partnering with the local church and Christian music ministries who will help share the Message of the Christian Hope through their music and the overall event. When: A date that is to be determined to best work for the sponsoring church/individual/ministry and is agreed upon by Share the Hope and the Christian Artist/s serving the event. Where: The location of the benefit concert EVENT would depend upon who is being served. If it is an organization that has a tie to the church, then a concert at the church would be appropriate. If it is a “community” that wouldn’t normally come to a church, then a more neutral location for the event would be best to allow us to meet people where they are. Why: To encourage the local church to move in single minded unity to serve others for Jesus sake. By going through the process we hope to see 100% involvement from the church and its membership whether through prayer, financial support or physical participation. To develop individual, REAL relationships with people in our community who may not know much about the Christian hope. To develop a ministry opportunity for the people in our churches as they live out their personal ministries with an active role in reaching out to others. In short – To Experience the Gospel as we live out and share the Word of God and the Hope we have in Jesus. How: By working with Share the Hope and its supporting Christian artists, we will work with and customize a Local Community, Benefit Concert that serves the needs of the church as it reaches out to serve a need within its local community. STH will provide resources to support the event with suggestions on how the benefit concert event can be used to encourage the internal ministry, while also providing guidance on how to manage the logistics of the event so that we do our very best to “Administer God’s Grace in its various forms” to the Glory of God.
